You can use the Discover map to set up your farming areas. This article will walk you through the primary functions of the map. See the How do I interact with the map? article for details about the various zooming and drawing tools on the map.

Clustered MLS data

When you log in to Remine, by default, the Discover map is zoomed out and the Active Status filter is applied. Blue circles with numbers appear on the map, which represent clusters of active listings. To view a list of all the clustered listings, in the upper right corner of the map, click the button.

When you apply any other Status filter, like Pending, Closed, or Withdrawn, the clustered dots will update to include those listing types. If you remove the Status filter, the clustered dots will disappear.

To view off market properties, zoom in to the map until you can see blue property dots.

Blue property dots

In Remine, on the Discover map, there are two types of blue property dots: single properties, and multi-unit properties. Every property has its own Property Details page, but not every property has its own blue dot.

If you search for an address and select the property from the search results, the Discover map will zoom to the property, and the right pane slides out to highlight the selected property's card. This card displays some basic information about the property. Click on the address in the card to navigate to the Property Details page.

If you don't see any blue dots on the map, see the Why can't I see any blue dots? article.

If you see stars instead of dots, you're already tracking those properties. For more information, see the What are the stars on the map? article.

Single family or townhome property

When you click a blue dot for a single family home or townhome, a property card appears in the right pane. When you click the address in the property card, the Property Details page appears, with more granular information about the property.

Multi-unit property

When you click a blue dot for a multi-unit building, a property card appears in the right pane. Click View Units in the lower left corner of the property card to see a list of all the units in the building. Click an address in the list of units to see the Property Details page for the unit.

You can quickly and easily identify properties that meet your criteria by using any combination of layers.

There are two sets of layers on the Discover map.

See the What are the available layers? article to read about all the available layers in Remine.

The top bar layers include basic property information, like MLS status details, bedroom and bathroom count, square footage, and year built. The drop-down layers help you instantly visualize leads on the map, like Ownership Time, Home Equity, Sell Score, Flood Zone, and Distressed Deals.

Data sources

The following image shows the layers mentioned above, as well as a sample property card. They're color-coded to identify our data sources.

After you apply layers and have a set of blue dots that fit your criteria, you can assign a label to the properties to organize them, and download a list of addresses for mailing labels or door knocking. After you track a property, it appears on the Discover map as a star instead of a dot.
